Hello, and thank you for visiting our website! My name is Katherine, and I am the "soap-maker" at Katheros Soap Co. My husband and I, along with our six children, live at a monastery in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. We have been living here since 1990. Our eldest child is 19 years old, and our youngest is 4.
I began making high-quality handmade soap in 2005 as an opportunity to make
something practical and healthy for my family, and provide a means for The popularity of my soaps has amazed even me.... but then I know the quality of ingredients that I use in my soap-making, so I understand the enthusiastic response. I hope you'll take a moment to read the "Ingredients" page on this website. I am proud that our soap contains 8 natural oils (instead of just 3, like a lot of other handmade soaps). I am always hearing praises, such as "My skin always stays so soft with your soap!" "Your soap even cleans the dirtiest hands where we work.... it cuts through dirt and grime without drying out my hands." I am very appreciative of comments like these.
